Work-in-progress: Weapons of Earth
After listening to Write Publish Repeat by Johnny B. Truant, Sean Platt, and David Wright, I realized that I was being a total idiot. I have two great book series that I have not completed because I am constantly starting new projects. So I dove back into the Chronicles of Kin Roland universe (Enemy of Man, Son of Orlan) and did some impressive work on Friday.
I really love this story!
There was an element to the previous draft that I didn't like, or more accurately, couldn't quite fit with the larger theme of the series. So I cut 40,000 words. About 30,000 remain, and I think they are awesome.
I would like to thank Johnny B. Truant, Sean Platt, and David Wright for sharing their knowledge and delivering a message that inspired me just when I needed it. If you haven't read their book, one of their messages (I am paraphrasing here) is that success comes from hard work.
I can get on board with that. Hard work is something anyone can do.
