Writing about fitness is one of my many hobbies. I hope that working in the fitness industry will be my retirement job in five, ten, or fifteen years. Why not start now? Well, my current job pays the bills and is what I consider meaningful work. But enough about that. Why I am blogging today.
For the last several months I tinkered with fitness blogging and even started an entirely new web site for that purpose. I explored several different workout paradigms that I learned from, but am not committed to at this time. Basically, I am still finding my way. I am still seeking fitness secrets that will be worth sharing with people.
The goal is to meet my fitness and health goals while helping others reach theirs as well.
Where do I start building official credentials that will, hopefully, make my fitness advice credible? I have decided that I will earn several certifications over the next few years and then build a curriculum that draws from each.
The goal is to help everyone meet their health and fitness needs.
Step one is to study for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). So here goes nothing. I’ve just added another really big book to my ‘to read’ list.
